SHIFTING TERRAIN
ABOUT THE FILM
Jac Pollard was cruising the legendary slopes of Alta, Utah before she was big enough to buckle her own ski boots. She started doing freeride comps when she was twelve. “It was a way to hang out with my friends, get outside, eat candy without my parents knowing, and become a part of a community I really liked.” She quickly became a proven contender on the Freeride World Tour—until.
In 2023, Jac tomahawked off a cliff, suffering a traumatic brain injury. Through her recovery, she began to reimagine her relationship with freeskiing, turning her back on the pervasive push-through-it mentality that had ruled the sport for too long. Instead, Jac has made fresh tracks as a coach who evokes positivity, community and lifelong connection with the mountains for the next generation of freeskiers.

BLUE HOUR
ABOUT THE FILM
A spirited skier caught in the enigma of life's in-betweens.
Where does joy live? Is it on the high peaks, within the deepest pow turns? It is in life’s accomplishments, the goals checked off the list? Is it gobbled up by the valleys of life, the natural lows? What happens when you find yourself in limbo? In a season, in a career, in life… Is it possible to find the weightless shift in energy, the audible breathing between slashes in the powdery snow? Can you embrace the magic in the mundane?
Blue Hour is a short, 3 min art film exploring the quiet moments, between dreams, between highs, between storms, between phases… in between, where the joy is found in dreaming about what's next, the merriment in the middle, and the treasure discovered in the transformation can exist. The true essence of living lies not just in the peaks and powdery slopes but in the subtle, magical moments that happen in between turns.
